A note from our founder

Hi friends,

I’ll never get tired of seeing students move from fear to curiosity.

That’s what Things That Creep does. By bringing Animal Ambassadors into the classroom, we create an educational experience that is truly unlike anything else — science standards aligned, interactive, and inspirational. We have a lot to be proud of this year. Here’s just some of what we accomplished:

  • Our Animal Ambassadors visited Alameda County Libraries, Kids for the Bay, SF Opera, Berkeley Unified School District, LiveMoves, UC Berkeley Botanical Garden and more

  • Over 1000 K-3rd students across the city of Richmond public schools learned about Bay Area snakes through our Neighborhood Snakes Program

“I enjoyed watching kids who were afraid, move from no touch, to touching with their finger, to holding the snake in their hands in the time you were there. The kids loved looking at and touching the snakes. It was an amazingly positive experience!!!"

-Ms. Blum, Olinda Elementary School, Richmond

With 2024 on the horizon, we are excited about the opportunities ahead. We are planning to find our Animal Ambassadors a new home, so that we can be closer to our community and the students we serve.

Can we count on you to invest in our Animal Ambassadors, so we can start the year strong?

We hope you’ll stay in touch during the year ahead. Thank you for being a part of our community.

Sincerely,

Audra Barrios
